Senior Business Intelligence Location: Brussels (Hybrid) Languages: Fluent English and French About the Role We are looking for a seasoned Senior BI & Data Transformation Expert to support a major banking transformation initiative. You will play a strategic role in modernizing legacy ETL and reporting ecosystems, driving the adoption of Power BI-centric architectures, and guiding teams through complex technical transitions. The ideal candidate combines deep expertise in Business Intelligence, Data Engineering, Data Modeling, and Power BI with proven experience in the banking sector. Requirements Mandatory • Minimum 5 years of experience in Business Intelligence and Data Engineering. • Advanced expertise in the Power BI ecosystem: • DAX • Power Query / M • Power BI Premium Capacities • Deployment Pipelines • XMLA Endpoints • Strong knowledge of SQL. • Expertise in Data Modeling: • Star Schemas • Snowflake Schemas • Dimensional Modeling • Power BI Dataflows • Experience designing enterprise-scale reporting and analytics solutions. • Strong understanding of data governance, metadata management, and data quality frameworks. • Experience gathering business requirements and translating them into scalable analytical solutions. • Proven ability to lead modernization and migration initiatives. Key Responsibilities • Lead strategic banking data transformation initiatives and modernization programs. • Define and implement Power BI-centered analytics architectures. • Drive migration from legacy ETL and reporting platforms to modern BI ecosystems. • Design scalable data models and analytical frameworks. • Mentor and upskill teams in DAX, Power Query, and Power BI best practices. • Define standards for governance, documentation, and metadata management. • Optimize ETL/ELT processes and data integration workflows. • Ensure data quality, performance, and consistency across reporting platforms. • Coordinate coexistence between legacy and target-state solutions during transition phases. • Collaborate with business and technical stakeholders to deliver future-ready BI solutions.
